Choo Chian

  • Joining UOBAM in March 2019, Choo Chian is responsible for managing multi-asset portfolios, with a focus on fixed income investments.

  • Prior to joining UOBAM, Chian was a Lead Portfolio Manager (Portfolio Management – Global Markets) at Monetary Authority of Singapore since Jan 2010.

  • Prior to that, he was a FI/FX Portfolio Manager (Investment Strategy) at Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC), and before that, DBS Asset Management.

  • Chian has a MA in Economics from Yale University, and a BA in Economics from University of California, Berkeley. He has over 17 years of investment experience.

 

Bruce Tan

  • Bruce had been in financial services since 2016 and managed a top performing financial services distribution team as a Senior Financial Services Manager.

  • He is currently with GYC as a Senior Associate where he is involved with the management of investment portfolios.

  • He holds a MSc in Wealth Management, from Singapore Management University and a BEcon in Economics and Finance from Murdoch University.

 

Aw Choon Hui

  • As the main liaison with the regulators, the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), Choon Hui helps to ensure that GYC's processes are in line with the respective Acts and Regulations.

  • Choon Hui develops and oversees strategic partnerships across Singapore to develop unique product solutions that can meet our clients' needs. Working with the investment team, he helps to build robust portfolios and identify best-in-class insurance and investment products.

  • He holds an Honours degree in Civil and Structural Engineering and a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the National University of Singapore.

 

Carl Chay

  • Carl was an investment analyst at a hedge fund covering the Southeast Asian market. Currently, Carl is in charge of the GYC’s investment portfolios and is responsible for their risk and return outcomes.

  • Sitting on the company's external and internal investment committees and oversees investment strategies, asset allocation, and portfolio construction, Carl is also responsible for the construction of the GYC risk matrix system, a proprietary quantitative financial stress tool which guides the overall allocation of investment portfolios.

  • He holds a Masters of Science in Applied Finance from the Singapore Management University and a Bachelor of Engineering from Nanyang Technological University.
