We collaborated with students at Nanyang Polytechnic to organise the NYP-GYC Financial Literacy Challenge. The event was an outreach effort to educate young adults in financial literacy, and give secondary school students the opportunity to learn about financial concepts and their relevance to business and everyday life.
162 students from 18 participating schools attended the event. GYC was the proud sponsor of prizes for the event’s Financial Literacy Champions, Victoria School, and the runner-up teams.

AIESEC-Investment Workshop Series
March 2008
GYC collaborated with AIESEC to present a series of investment workshops to university students from NUS, NTU, and SMU. The series was held in SMU and comprised 3 workshop seminars in March.
The event aimed to equip students with investment skills while they were still young, teaching them how to make intelligent investing decisions and distinguish good advice from bad. Topics covered included the importance of asset allocation, portfolio management, and what to look out for in investment products.
GYC's CEO Goh Yang Chye and Deputy CEO Aw Choon Hui were the main speakers for this event, with a special guest speaker in the second session – William Tan (Head of Sales) from Templeton Asset Management, whom GYC invited to provide the seminar participants with a behind-the-scenes fund manager's perspective.
